Unauthenticated privilege escalation via registration control bypass
Published Feb 19, 2025 · Updated Feb 13, 2026
Improper access control in Microsoft Power Pages allows remote attackers to elevate privileges by bypassing user registration controls. Microsoft identifies the user registration control as the affected locus but has not disclosed the request or authorization check that fails. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful exploitation changes access privileges and permits limited data exposure without interrupting the service.
