Issue disclosure via REST API IP bypass
Published Aug 13, 2025 · Updated Aug 13, 2025
Improper access control in GitLab EE allows remote authenticated users to view assigned issues from IP-restricted groups through the REST API. The GET /api/v4/issues?scope=assigned_to_me path returns assigned issues without applying the top-level group's source-IP restriction. Reachability requires an assigned group member with an API token outside the allowed range; affected release lines begin at 12.0, 18.1, and 18.2.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=12.0 <18.0.6
