Arbitrary file deletion via unsanitized backup filename
Published Feb 3, 2025 · Updated Feb 12, 2025
Path traversal in CyferShepard Jellystat before 1.1.3 allows remote authenticated users to read or delete arbitrary host files. The backup routes pass req.params.filename to path.join without validation, allowing traversal outside backup-data before download or unlink. Administrative authentication is required; the GET route reads files and the DELETE route removes files accessible to the Jellystat process.
