UDP packet spoofing via connected load-balancing sockets

Kernel socket isolation failure in FreeBSD 13.5-RELEASE, 14.3-RELEASE, and 15.0-BETA2 allows remote attackers to spoof UDP packets. The netinet in_pcb lookup places a connected UDP socket using SO_REUSEPORT_LB in the load-balancing hash and matches it for datagrams from hosts other than the connected peer. Exposure requires an application to set SO_REUSEPORT_LB before connecting the socket; accepted forged datagrams can alter application behavior or data, while software that omits the option is unaffected.
