CVE-2025-24917

SYSTEM code execution via locally staged files

Published May 23, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026

Improper access control in Tenable Network Monitor 6.5.0 and earlier allows local users to execute arbitrary code as SYSTEM. Tenable states that a non-administrative user can stage files in a local directory, but has not disclosed the directory, file type, or privileged loading operation. Exploitation requires local low-privileged access to a Windows host and yields full SYSTEM-level code execution with confidentiality, integrity, and availability impact.
