Stored script execution via unchecked template updates
Published Mar 18, 2025 · Updated Mar 18, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in UJCMS 9.7.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript when a user opens a modified template. WebFileTemplateController.update saves attacker-supplied template content without filtering or validation, leaving embedded script executable. Backend template-editing privileges and a second user's interaction are required; the script executes in that user's browser and can steal sensitive tokens.
