CVE-2025-24899Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Cross-user account disclosure via nested serialization

Published Feb 3, 2025 · Updated Feb 12, 2025

Information disclosure in reNgine before 2.2.0 allows remote authenticated users to read other users' account data through an API. The VulnerabilitySerializer nests scan history with depth-based model serialization, causing initiated_by and aborted_by user objects to include passwords, email addresses, roles, names, status, and activity. Any account role can reach the endpoint after vulnerability scan results exist, exposing data for users associated with those scans without granting reported write access.
