Unauthenticated code execution via rendered SolrSearch input
Published Feb 20, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Code injection in XWiki Platform 5.3-milestone-2 through 15.10.10 and 16.0.0-rc-1 through 16.4.0 allows remote attackers to run code. SolrSearchMacros sends attacker-controlled RSS search text through the normal rendering pipeline, allowing closing syntax to inject async and Groovy macros. Guest access to the HTTP endpoint is sufficient, and successful exploitation executes code in the server process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
