Protected attribute modification via profile filter bypass
Published Apr 30, 2025 · Updated Apr 30, 2025
Improper access control in Filigran OpenCTI 6.4.8 through 6.4.9 allows remote authenticated users to modify protected profile attributes. The own-user profile update path accepts fields outside its allow list and fields on its deny list, including external, token, otp_qr, and otp_activated. Standard low-privilege access is sufficient to alter the caller's protected values and, where external-user identities are sensitive, enumerate accounts.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
