LocalSystem command execution via incorrect folder permissions
Published Mar 6, 2025 · Updated Mar 6, 2025
Incorrect folder permissions in RSUPPORT RemoteView Agent before 8.1.5.2 allow local users to execute commands as LocalSystem. RSUPPORT and JPCERT/CC disclose only that an installation folder has incorrect access permissions; the folder and affected content remain undisclosed. A non-administrative account on the remote PC is required, and successful exploitation yields arbitrary OS command execution with LocalSystem privileges.
