CVE-2025-2485Network attack vector

Unauthenticated object injection via PHAR metadata deserialization

Published Mar 28, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026

PHP object injection in Drag and Drop Multiple File Upload for Contact Form 7 1.3.8.8 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute POP chains. The dnd_upload_cf7_upload function deserializes metadata from attacker-uploaded PHAR files without treating the archive as untrusted input. Exploitation requires an upload-enabled form, active Flamingo integration, user interaction, and another plugin or theme with a usable POP chain; consequences include file deletion, data access, or code execution.
