CVE-2025-24848

Local privilege escalation through undisclosed protection failure

Published Nov 11, 2025 · Updated Nov 11, 2025

Protection mechanism failure in Intel Computing Improvement Program before WIN_DCA_2.4.0.11001 allows local users to escalate privileges. Intel identifies the locus only as Ring 3 user applications and has not disclosed the faulty protection mechanism or operation on attacker-controlled input. Exploitation requires high complexity, attack requirements, a privileged user, and passive user interaction, and can compromise confidentiality, integrity, and availability on the vulnerable system.
