Path equivalence in Apache Tomcat before 9.0.99, 10.1.35, or 11.0.3 allows remote attackers to execute code via partial PUT. The DefaultServlet derives a partial-PUT temporary filename from an attacker-controlled path by replacing path separators with dots, allowing distinct upload paths to collide. Code execution requires write access, partial PUT, file-based session persistence, and a usable deserialization library; other upload layouts permit sensitive-file reads or modification.
