Service interruption via malformed port 102 packets
Published Feb 11, 2025 · Updated Feb 12, 2025
Improper input validation in Siemens SIMATIC and SIPLUS S7-1200 CPUs before 4.7 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt service. The port 102 packet-handling path fails to validate the syntactic correctness of crafted packets and processes them incorrectly, placing the device in a denial-of-service state. Low-privileged access to the network service is required; Siemens does not disclose whether the interruption is a hang, crash, or reboot.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
