Stored script execution via unescaped image-size names
Published Jan 28, 2025 · Updated Jan 28, 2025
Stored XSS in Rahe Simple Image Sizes 3.2.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through image-size names. The Media settings page renders a stored image-size name without sufficient output escaping, allowing browser interpretation as script. Administrator privileges are required to store the name, and execution occurs when an administrator accesses the settings screen.
