Reflected XSS via unescaped id parameter
Published Mar 27, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Reflected XSS in Dustin Scarberry MediaView 1.1.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to run scripts through a crafted id parameter. The addMedia form in inc/forms/addMedia.inc.php writes the request’s id value into generated page markup without adequate sanitization or output escaping. The attack requires no account, but a user must follow an attacker-controlled link; successful exploitation runs script in that user’s browser context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
