CVE-2025-24807

Unauthorized permissions via incomplete CA validation

Published Feb 11, 2025 · Updated Feb 11, 2025

Certificate validation in eProsima Fast DDS allows local users to apply governance and permissions signed by an expired Permissions CA. The Access Control plugin verifies the S/MIME signature but neither validates the Permissions CA certificate chain nor checks certificate expiration. Low-privileged local access and DDS Security configuration are required; a non-self-signed full-chain Permissions CA also crashes the process.
