Authenticated privilege escalation via exposed API token
Published Feb 5, 2025 · Updated Feb 12, 2025
Privilege escalation in Mobile Security Framework (MobSF) 4.3.0 allows remote authenticated users to obtain an all-privilege API token. The /source_code view embeds the server's REST API key in JavaScript returned to low-privilege users instead of enforcing role-scoped access. A low-privilege account and an existing static-analysis result are required; the exposed token reads otherwise restricted dynamic-analysis data.
