CVE-2025-24787Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Local file disclosure via connection parameter injection

Published Feb 6, 2025 · Updated Feb 6, 2025

Parameter injection in WhoDB before 0.45.0 allows remote attackers to read local host files through crafted database connection fields. MySQL connection code concatenates unescaped field values into its connection URI, allowing allowAllFiles=true to reach the Go MySQL driver. Default deployments require no WhoDB authentication; access to any controlled MySQL server is sufficient to load and disclose files readable by WhoDB.
