Contributor-level stored XSS via saved content
Published Jan 24, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored XSS in WpDevArt Countdown Timer – Widget Countdown 2.7.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts. Patchstack identifies contributor-created website content as the input and visitor page views as the execution point, but it does not disclose the affected field, function, or missing encoding operation. A contributor account and a later page view are required; the injected script executes in a visitor's browser and can read or alter data available to that page.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
