Account disconnection via unverified disconnect action
Published Jan 24, 2025 · Updated May 11, 2026
Missing authorization in Patreon WordPress 1.9.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to disconnect a user's Patreon account. The user-account disconnect action processes a requested disconnection without verifying a WordPress nonce, permitting an unauthorized state change. No authentication or user interaction is required; exploitation removes the affected account's Patreon linkage and disrupts access to gated content.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
