Forced administrative actions via missing AJAX nonces
Published Jan 24, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
CSRF in WP Fast Total Search 1.78.258 and earlier allows remote attackers to trigger administrative AJAX actions through a logged-in victim. The Rebuild Index and Try DB Update AJAX requests accepted state-changing requests without WordPress nonce validation. An authenticated administrator must be induced to submit the crafted request; successful exploitation can rebuild the search index or initiate a database update.
