Credential extraction via insufficiently protected agent storage
Published Jul 7, 2025 · Updated Jul 7, 2025
Credential exposure in Broadcom Symantec IT Management Suite 8.6.x, 8.7.x, and 8.8 allows local users to extract stored ACCs. The IT Management Agent secure storage insufficiently protects Account Connectivity Credentials, permitting offline extraction from stored data. Exploitation requires high local privileges and high-complexity access to the agent host; exposed ACCs enable access to managed accounts.
