CVE-2025-24505

Authenticated command execution via crafted upgrade file

Published Jan 30, 2025 · Updated Feb 5, 2025

File upload in Symantec Privileged Access Management 3.4.6 and 4.1.0 through 4.1.8 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands. The privileged upgrade interface accepts and processes a specially crafted upgrade file in a form that permits command execution on the appliance. A high-privileged PAM account and adjacent-network access are required; successful exploitation gives the attacker command-execution authority on the PAM system.
