Session hijacking via crafted session-fixation link
Published Jan 30, 2025 · Updated Feb 5, 2025
Session fixation in Symantec Privileged Access Management 3.4.6, 4.1.0 through 4.1.8, and 4.2.0 allows attackers to hijack a user's session. A specially crafted link causes the PAM server to fix the targeted user's session, but Broadcom has not disclosed the affected request handler or session-token operation. Exploitation requires an unauthenticated attacker in an adjacent network position to induce an active PAM user to open the link, exposing that user's privileged session.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
