CVE-2025-2450

Code execution via unwarned VBAI script execution

Published Mar 18, 2025 · Updated Mar 18, 2025

Dangerous script execution in NI Vision Builder for Automated Inspection 2023 Q3 allows remote attackers to run code via a crafted VBAI file. The VBAI file processor executes dangerous embedded script without presenting a safety warning before the script runs. Exploitation requires the current user to visit a malicious page or open the file; code runs with that user's privileges, and NI disputes the security characterization.
