Out-of-bounds read in F5 BIG-IP PEM 17.1.0 before 17.1.2 allows remote attackers to terminate TMM via crafted requests. With URL categorization enabled on a virtual server, TMM reads beyond a buffer boundary while processing request data; F5 has not disclosed the request format or narrower code locus. Unauthenticated network access to an affected virtual server is sufficient, and successful exploitation interrupts traffic processing by terminating TMM.
