Database data retrieval via unprepared reordering query
Published Feb 24, 2025 · Updated Feb 24, 2025
SQL injection in Mattermost Boards allows remote authenticated users to retrieve database data by reordering crafted board categories. The category-reordering SQL path incorporates attacker-controlled category identifiers without prepared-statement parameter binding. Exploitation requires an authenticated account and an enabled Boards plugin; successful requests expose database contents and can alter stored data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=10.2.0 <=10.2.2
- Affected versionversion=10.3.0 <=10.3.2
- Affected versionversion=10.4.0 <=10.4.1
