CVE-2025-24473Network attack vector

Application information disclosure via exposed directory index

Published May 28, 2025 · Updated Jan 14, 2026

Information disclosure in FortiClient for Windows 7.0.13 through 7.0.14 and 7.2.0 through 7.2.1 allows remote attackers to view application data. Its local GUI web service exposes the FortiClient installation directory index to unauthenticated HTTP requests on TCP port 8053. Remote access requires a non-default firewall rule accepting inbound connections to that port; confidentiality is the only reported impact.
