Account takeover via spoofed Helpdesk email
Published Jan 21, 2025 · Updated Jan 21, 2025
Authentication bypass in JetBrains YouTrack before 2024.3.55417 allows attackers to take over accounts through spoofed Helpdesk email. The Helpdesk email integration associates a spoofed sender with a YouTrack identity, but JetBrains has not disclosed the responsible code path or validation gap. A configured Helpdesk integration and user interaction are required; success grants the targeted account's data and actions without interrupting service.
