Arbitrary code execution via malicious-file out-of-bounds write
Published Mar 11, 2025 · Updated Mar 11, 2025
Out-of-bounds write in Adobe Substance 3D Sampler 4.5.2 and earlier allows attackers to execute arbitrary code when a user opens a malicious file. Adobe has not disclosed the affected file format, parser, or memory operation that writes past its valid bounds. A victim must open attacker-supplied content, and successful exploitation runs code with the victim's current-user privileges.
