CVE-2025-24390Network attack vector

Session hijacking via cookies missing Secure attribute

Published Jan 27, 2025 · Updated Feb 12, 2025

Session hijacking in OTRS 7.0.x, 8.0.x, 2023.x, and 2024.x allows remote authenticated users to read and alter another HTTPS session. The application server and reverse proxy omit the Secure attribute on sensitive session cookies, allowing browsers to transmit them over unencrypted HTTP. Exploitation requires low-privileged access and capture of an exposed cookie; hijacking then permits actions under the victim's permissions.
