Authenticated client-side code execution via unescaped app data
Published Apr 30, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Cross-site scripting in affected ctrlX OS - Solutions releases allows remote authenticated users to execute code in another user’s browser. The Manages app data function fails to encode or escape attacker-controlled output submitted through multiple crafted HTTP requests. Affected releases are 1.12.0 through 1.12.1, 1.20.0 through 1.20.1, and 2.6.0; exploitation requires low-privileged device access, function permission, and another user’s interaction.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=1.12.0 <=1.12.1
- Affected versionversion=1.20.0 <=1.20.1
