Stored XSS via unvalidated device-name update
Published Apr 15, 2025 · Updated Apr 16, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in Growatt Cloud portal before 3.6.0 allows remote attackers to inject JavaScript through a device-name update. The energy.growatt.com/tuya/editDevName endpoint accepts a crafted device name without server-side validation and renders it in users' personal portal spaces. Network access requires no portal privileges, and browser execution can expose or alter data available to an affected portal session.
