CVE-2025-24291Network attack vector

Malicious file write via filename argument injection

Published Jun 18, 2025 · Updated Jun 23, 2025

Argument injection in Versa Director 21.2.2, 21.2.3, and 22.1.1 through 22.1.4 allows remote authenticated users to write malicious files to disk. The Java upload handler treats additional arguments appended to the filename as part of MIME-type validation, allowing the validation step to be bypassed. Exploitation requires high privileges and user interaction, and the bounded result is an arbitrary attacker-supplied file written to disk.
