CVE-2025-24288Network attack vector

Unauthenticated privileged access via shared default credentials

Published Jun 18, 2025 · Updated Jun 23, 2025

Insecure defaults in Versa Networks Versa Director 21.2.2, 21.2.3, and 22.1.1 through 22.1.4 allow remote attackers to gain privileged access. The default configuration exposes SSH and PostgreSQL to the internet while multiple accounts, most with sudo access, share vendor-default credentials. Network reachability to an exposed service is sufficient to authenticate with those credentials and gain the selected account's permissions.
