CVE-2025-24286Network attack vector

Authenticated code execution via backup job modification

Published Jun 18, 2025 · Updated Jun 23, 2025

Improper privilege management in Veeam Backup & Replication version 12 through 12.3.1.1139 allows remote authenticated users to execute code. Veeam identifies backup-job modification by the Backup Operator role as the path to code execution but does not disclose the unsafe job field or missing validation. A valid account assigned that high-privilege role is required; successful exploitation compromises confidentiality, integrity, and availability on the backup server.
