App termination via AirPlay null pointer dereference
Published Apr 29, 2025 · Updated Jul 25, 2026
Denial of service in AirPlay on affected Apple operating systems allows remote attackers on the local network to terminate an app. AirPlay processing dereferences a null pointer after applying inadequate checks to network input, but the triggering request and deeper code locus remain undisclosed. Reachability requires local-network access; the reported consequence is limited to unexpected app termination, with no reported memory corruption or code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
