Memory corruption in the Audio component of affected Apple operating systems allows context-dependent attackers to execute arbitrary code. Apple discloses only that improved memory handling corrected the flaw, leaving the exact parser, memory-safety error, and malformed field undisclosed. Exploitation requires a maliciously crafted file to be processed and user interaction, after which code runs in the affected audio-processing context.
