Improper access control in CoreMedia in Apple macOS Sonoma before 14.7.5 and macOS Sequoia before 15.4 allows local users to read sensitive user data. Apple identifies insufficient CoreMedia sandbox restrictions as the access-control locus but has not disclosed the restricted data path or operation that accepted the app's request. Exploitation requires a user to run an app locally; the reported consequence is confidentiality loss without data modification or service interruption.
