Unauthorized iCloud storage activation via insufficient permissions
Published Mar 31, 2025 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Improper permissions in macOS Ventura before 13.7.5, Sonoma before 14.7.5, and Sequoia before 15.4 allow attackers to enable iCloud storage. Storage Management applies insufficient restrictions when an app requests activation of iCloud storage features; Apple has not disclosed the specific permission check or API involved. Execution of an app on the Mac is required, and the disclosed consequence is limited to unauthorized storage-feature activation rather than data access or code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
