Sandbox escape via WebKit out-of-bounds write
Published Mar 11, 2025 · Updated Apr 2, 2026
An out-of-bounds write in WebKit in Apple platforms allows remote attackers to escape the Web Content sandbox via crafted web content. Apple identifies WebKit bug 285858 but has not disclosed the affected function, buffer, or unchecked operation that permits the write. Processing attacker-controlled web content is required, and successful exploitation crosses the renderer sandbox without establishing broader system compromise.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
