Privilege escalation in Apple macOS Ventura before 13.7.5, Sonoma before 14.7.5, and Sequoia before 15.4 allows local users to gain root privileges. Apple identifies a logic error in CoreServices file handling but has not disclosed the affected file operation or how crafted filesystem state reaches it. Execution of an attacker-controlled app and user interaction are required; successful exploitation grants root privileges on the host.
