Origin attribution error in Safari before 18.4 allows attackers to associate a downloaded file with the wrong website. Safari mishandles state used to associate a download with its origin, but Apple has not disclosed the affected routine or inconsistent transition. The issue applies when Safari handles a download on iOS or iPadOS before 18.4, macOS before 15.4, or watchOS before 11.4, with no reported ability to read, modify, or execute the file.
