CVE-2025-24163

Application crash via undisclosed CoreAudio file parsing flaw

Published Jan 27, 2025 · Updated Jun 2, 2026

Improper file validation in Apple CoreAudio allows attackers to crash apps across iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, visionOS, and watchOS. Apple has not published the malformed file structure, parser path, or failed check that triggers the termination. Exploitation requires an affected app to parse an attacker-supplied file; the reported consequence is limited to that app termination.
