Process memory corruption via null pointer dereference

A null pointer dereference in AirPlay across affected Apple operating systems allows remote attackers to corrupt process memory. AirPlay fails to validate a protocol input before dereferencing a null pointer, allowing crafted traffic to alter or terminate the receiving process. The attacker must share a network with a reachable AirPlay receiver; public research does not establish code execution for this flaw alone.
