Authentication bypass in Apple Libnotify on iOS before 18.3 and iPadOS before 17.7.3 allows local users to impersonate system notifications. Libnotify accepts sensitive notification requests from apps without enforcing the restricted entitlement required for trusted system notices. Execution of a malicious app is required, and the documented consequence is denial of service rather than data exposure or modification.
