Installed-app enumeration via insufficient Icons restrictions
Published Jan 16, 2026 · Updated Jan 16, 2026
Improper access control in Icons in Apple iOS and iPadOS before 18.3 allows local users to enumerate a device user's installed apps. The Icons component exposes the installed-app list to an app because its permission checks impose insufficient restrictions; Apple has not disclosed the affected API or code path. Execution of an app on the device is required, and the reported consequence is limited to disclosure of installed-app inventory.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
