Physical information disclosure via out-of-bounds read
Published Mar 11, 2025 · Updated Feb 13, 2026
Out-of-bounds read in Microsoft Windows USB Video Driver allows local users to disclose information through a physical USB device. The system-supplied Usbvideo.sys driver processes topology and capability data reported by an attached UVC device, but Microsoft has not disclosed the unchecked field or read operation. Low-privileged access and physical attachment are required, and the documented consequence is disclosure from memory beyond the intended buffer.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
