CVE-2025-24045Network attack vector

Pre-authentication code execution via memory race

Published Mar 11, 2025 · Updated Feb 13, 2026

Remote code execution in Windows Remote Desktop Services allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code before authentication. A race condition leaves sensitive data in improperly locked memory, permitting attacker-controlled use during network processing. Exploitation requires winning the race, but no credentials or user interaction are required and successful attacks gain code execution on the server.
